The Victim's Assistance and Survivor Protection Act: Expanded Protections in New Jersey

This program explores New Jersey's newly enacted Victim's Assistance and Survivor Protection Act (VASPA) and how it differs from the Prevention of Domestic Violence Act (PDVA) of 1991. Attendees will gain the practical skills necessary to successfully handle a VASPA hearing, including how to enter an appearance, obtain discovery, communicate with adversaries regarding potential resolution, and prepare for a final hearing, if necessary.
