Overview
Gratitude is the glue that holds relationships together. The law is a client service business where relationships play a primary role. Practicing appreciation is beneficial to a lawyer's personal and professional growth. It's also good for a law firm's bottom line.
In many cultures throughout history, gratitude was considered the key to good fortune and a meaningful life. Scientific research suggests that gratitude leads to happiness, better health, closer relationships, a sense of connection, more energy, self-confidence, and more positive emotions, as well as decreased stress, anxiety, and depression.
After this training, participants will have an understanding of how gratitude impacts the body and brain and why gratitude is a key leadership skill. Feeling and expressing appreciation helps build a culture of collaboration, trust, and respect, which in turn builds a more compassionate legal profession. We will discuss how to make gratitude a daily habit and how to build a grateful personality.
This workshop spans lawyer business skills, mind science, psychology, ancient traditions, design thinking, leadership fundamentals, contemplative practice, and strategic management.
