Here’s what you need to know about Ohio CLE rules and requirements as a newly admitted attorney.

Ohio Newly Admitted CLE Requirements at a Glance

Total Credits: 12 hours of New Lawyers Training (accredited by the Supreme Court of Ohio's Commission on Continuing Legal Education)

  • At least 1 hour must be in Professional Conduct
  • At least 1 hour must be in Law Office Management 
  • At least 1 hour must be in Client Fund Management

CLE Deadline: December 31st of the first biennial compliance period

Carry Over Credits: Attorneys can carry over 12 general credits into the next reporting period. 

Reporting: Deadline is January 31st.
