Florida Newly Admitted CLE Requirements At a Glance
Total Credits: 30 credit hours, including:
- At least 3 in Legal Ethics, Substance Abuse, or Mental Illness Awareness
- At least 3 in Technology
- Florida Bar Professionalism Course
CLE Deadline: Assigned by the Bar
Additional Requirement for New Attorneys: Practicing with Professionalism (Phase 1) and Basic Skills Course Requirement (Phase 2) available through the Florida Bar.
Basic Skills Deadline:
- Phase I: Within 12 months of admission
- Phase II: By the end of the first CLE requirement reporting cycle
Carry Over Credit: Not allowed
Reporting: New! Attorneys in Florida must now submit an Application for Course Attendance Credit along with a timed agenda or outline, speaker biography, and a certificate of completion.
