Steve McBride is a partner at Carmichael IP.  Steve’s practice focuses on representing clients in front of the USPTO for interparte reviews, reexaminations, and other post-grant proceedings in front of the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB).  Steve has handled over 100 IPRs and is one of the leading practitioners at the PTAB. His practice focuses on technologies such as software, electronics, and telecommunications.  

In addition to PTAB experience, Steve has successfully represented dozens of clients in U.S. district courts and the International Trade Commission in Section 337 matters and regularly advises on patent prosecution and IP transactional issues.   He has published frequently on patent-related topics and regularly presents on IPRs.

Steve is a registered patent attorney.  Before law school, he was an engineer in the telecommunications industry.  He has degrees in electrical and computer engineering.
