Becky McBride is the Director of Legal Services for Atlas: DIY, where she is responsible for overseeing the organization’s “Strengthening Nontraditional Immigrant Families” project. She represents immigrant youth in their cases for Special Immigrant Juvenile Status, Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, T-nonimmigrant status, and U-nonimmigrant status, and also provides Know Your Rights trainings to immigrant youth and their parents throughout New York City. Previously, Rebecca served as Atlas’s Supervising Staff Attorney. Fluent in Spanish, Becky has worked on over 300 cases involving immigrants in New York City. She regularly appears in family court throughout the five boroughs, and in New York Immigration Court. Since graduating from Brooklyn Law School in 2013, Becky has worked almost exclusively with immigrant youth, including Central American asylum seekers at Central American Legal Assistance, as SIJS and DACA eligible youth at The Door Legal Services Center.
