Ellen Greiper has more than 35 years of experience defending multiparty construction and construction defect cases in the state and federal courts of New York, and is a Partner at Wilson, Elser, Moskowitz, Edelman, & Dicker, LLP. As a member of the firm’s nationwide 24/7 response program, Ellen has extensive experience representing large fleet trucking companies in a wide range of transportation matters. Additionally, she regularly manages crises pertaining to OSHA Safety & Health matters.

An appointed arbitrator for the district courts in Nassau County, New York, Ellen – who has extensive experience litigating high-exposure premises liability, Labor Law and personal injury matters that arise from construction site accidents and trucking accidents – also is a mediator for trial-ready cases in the Supreme Court of Nassau County. Her streamlined discovery techniques and proactive approach to complex litigation translates into effective and expedited solutions for clients.

Ellen is a prolific author and frequent keynoter and speaker on emerging issues in the construction industry. She is a member of a number of professional industry organizations, including the Construction Specifications Institute, DRI’s Construction Defect Committee, and the Professional Women in Construction, where she served on the Board of Directors of its New York Chapter. Ellen also currently serves on the board of NAWIC, where she is a Director of its New York Chapter, and is a member of the Advisory Board for Advisen, acquired by Zywave in 2020.
