David Heymann is an experienced corporate lawyer who has represented real estate companies for over 20 years. He served in the capacity as general counsel to multiple real estate investment trusts. During his years of experience David has assisted his REIT clients in all legal areas effecting REITs.

He earned his undergraduate degree from SUNY Binghamton and his law degree from Hofstra Law School where he was a member of the Law Review. After graduation, David worked at the New York City law firm of Rosenman & Colin (now Katten Muchin Rosenman). He then formed his own firm, Post Heymann & Koffler LLP, which specialized in the representation of real estate companies. In 2015 David and his partners joined the Long Island Business Law Firm of Meltzer, Lippe, Goldstein & Breitstone, LLP, where he is a partner in the Firm’s corporate department.
