David S. Feather is the principal of Feather Law Firm, P.C., which is located in Garden City, New York. The law firm’s practice is limited to employment and labor law, as well as commercial litigation.

Mr. Feather litigates matters and advises clients under such statutes as the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA), the Older Workers Benefits Protection Act (OWBPA), the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), the New York State Executive Law, the New York State Labor Law and the New York City Administrative Code.  He also negotiates, drafts and litigates employment contracts, severance agreements, and non-compete agreements for both employers and employees.

Mr. Feather practices law in both state and federal court, and has participated in conferences and mediation before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the New York State Division of Human Rights, and the Nassau County Commission on Human Rights.  He has also used other mediation services to resolve employment disputes, including both court-annexed and private mediation services. 

Mr. Feather also serves as an employment law arbitrator and mediator for National Arbitration and Mediation, Inc. (NAM).

Mr. Feather has lectured to various legal professional organizations and to the public on such topics as unlawful discrimination in the workplace, sexual harassment, the changing role of women in the workplace, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), employment and non-compete agreements, and mediating/arbitrating workplace disputes.

Mr. Feather is a 1990 graduate of the State University of New York at Binghamton and a 1993 graduate of Hofstra University School of Law.  He is a member of various bar associations, including the Nassau County Bar Association.
