Carl is the founder of Tercero Technologies, a Pittsburgh-based artificial intelligence startup. As a roboticist, software engineer, electrical engineer, technology entrepreneur, and intellectual property attorney, he brings a combination of technical, business, and legal expertise to Tercero Technologies. He has years of software, hardware, embedded systems, robotics, autonomous/self-driving vehicle, perception, and machine learning experience as both an engineer and an engineering manager.

As a technology and intellectual property lawyer previously with one of the top law firms in the country, Carl also has years of experience in structuring complex IP and corporate legal transactions for companies ranging from Silicon Valley startups to some of the world’s top technology companies.

Carl holds a joint JD-MBA from Northwestern University’s Pritzker School of Law and Kellogg School of Management, an M.S. with a focus on autonomous vehicles from the University of Florida, and a B.S. in Electromechanical Engineering from Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston.
