Brian Ross is a business lawyer with an entrepreneurial focus.  He is an experienced general counsel and former IP litigator.  Brian represents clients ranging from emerging startups to global companies spanning the Cannabis industry, the Internet and technology, new media, and other growth industries.  With a background in both transactional and litigation practices, as well as Big Law and in-house experience, Brian provides strategic advice and counsel from the C-suite down, handling corporate governance and transactions, commercial transactions and agreements, licensing, intellectual property, compliance issues, and other business and legal affairs.

Before joining Ross Legal, Brian earned his BA and JD at the University of California, Los Angeles.  Brian spent nearly a decade at nationally recognized law firms including Mitchell Silberberg & Knupp and Baker Hostetler.  He also served as in-house General Counsel for three fast-growth companies, with two Fortune 100 acquisitions: EdgeCast Networks acquired by Verizon, and TagWorld/Social Project acquired by Viacom.  

Brian is a member of the California State Bar, United States Supreme Court Bar, International Cannabis Bar Association, Los Angeles County Bar Association, and ProVisors. He is also an author and frequent speaker on the topic of cannabis law.
