You Don't Have an Office? Operating an Ethical and Fully Remote Legal Practice

This program will examine the changes in legal practice since 2020 which have enabled many practitioners to operate their practices in a fully remote fashion, sometimes even from the outside of the state they practice in. We will also explore ethical considerations in operating your practice remotely.

Learning Objectives: 

1. Discuss how legal practice has changed since the coronavirus pandemic, enabling many lawyers to operate their law firms remotely

2. Identify ethical considerations operating your legal practice remotely without a physical office or from outside of the state you are practicing in

3. Discuss useful technology in implementing your remote practice

4. Predict whether the future of legal practice in New Jersey and other states will continue to follow this trend toward allowing more remote work
