Why Engagement Letters REALLY Matter - To Clients, To the Firm and To You - and What Should They Contain

The program will demonstrate how the appropriate use of properly structured engagement letters will assist lawyers in complying with applicable professional responsibility rules, address risk management concerns - and enable law firms and individual lawyers to establish and maintain positive relationships with all of the firm's and their clients and to establish a foundation for managing every engagement effectively and ethically from beginning to end. The program will present and discuss the critical components of effective engagement letters from the identification of the client and the scope of engagements through conflict waivers, billing, managing disputes, and the ending of the relationship.
