Overview
Due to multiple humanitarian crises, several humanitarian programs were announced by the Biden Administration to address the growing number of migrants in in the United States. Temporary Protected Status (TPS) country designations, Deferred Enforced Departure, and various parole programs (including the formal expansion of parole in place) were created or changed to address the above-mentioned emergencies. Recent changes to Presidential administrations seek to transform the future of these programs, likely resulting in complex technical issues will impact the adjudication of these programs or the programs in their entirety.
This program, presented by Ernie Collette, will discuss current forms of humanitarian relief and their future under new administrative policies. The program will provide the most recent updates to humanitarian programs and how to best help your clients with likely changes to these programs.

- Review current forms of available parole, distinguish between the different programs, and understand recent or proposed changes made by the current administration
- Navigate different options after receiving parole and whether an extension, change of status, or adjustment of status is possible
- Examine TPS designations and identify technical issues with redesignations
- Determine what Federal and state benefits, if any, are available for asylees and humanitarian beneficiaries
