Social Security Disability and Supplemental Security Income: An Overview

This program, presented by attorney Douglas Greene, will provide an overview of the medical and non-medical eligibility requirements of the Social Security Disability and Supplemental Security Income programs. The nonmedical criteria covered for Social Security Disability includes quarters of coverage, fully insured status, and disability insured status. The nonmedical criteria for Supplemental Security Income includes residency requirements and an overview of income and resources rules. The medical criteria to be covered includes the sequential evaluation, exertional categories, and common nonexertional limitations. The appeals process and statistical outcomes will also be covered.
