Overview
In New York, the Surrogate's Court hears cases involving the affairs of descendants, including the probate of wills and the administration of estates. In this detailed, two-part course, Hillary Frommer, Counsel at Elman Freiberg, PLLC, and Cheryl L. Katz-Erato, Senior Associate at Cona Elder Law PLLC, will provide participants with a look into the discovery process of potential probate or will contest in New York State Surrogate's Courts.
In Part 2, there will be two mock, educational 1404 examinations: one of the attorney draftsperson and the other of an attesting witness to the purported will. The mock examinations will be based on a fact pattern provided in Part 1.
