Overview
Over the last few years, the words "diversity," equity," and "inclusion," have been repeatedly discussed in the news, in employment blogs, and in the media. Experts often emphasized the importance of DEI framed in the context of the benefits to employers such as financial returns, employee retention, and outperforming competitors. But if you are not a business owner/employer, then why should you care about DEI from that perspective? This CLE, taught by Diana-Marie Laventure of Kaufman Borgeest & Ryan LLP, will provide an in-depth analysis of diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB) from the employees' perspective and how employees can benefit from it.
Learning Objectives:
Identify the types of DEIB issues that occur in the workplace and in practice
Recognize the pitfalls of not being aware of DEIB issues as an employee
Respond to DEIB issues that may occur at work or in your practice
