In this course, you will learn about the current landscape of mental illness within the legal profession. Attorney Stephanie Mitchell-Hughes identifies some of the biggest stumbling blocks when it comes to addressing mental illness. She shares how she navigates her own mental illness and the practice of law. Attendees will also explore the story of what happens when an attorney stops following their treatment regimen, and those closest to them miss red flags signaling trouble. Legal employers will learn what to explore before implementing a mental health and wellness program. Finally, attorneys will receive suggestions to consider implementing prior to sharing their mental health condition with their employer.
