OSHA Overview & Updates

This program will provide an overview of OSHA, and will help attorneys prepare for when their clients are obligated to contact OSHA, when they are contacted by OSHA, and when OSHA comes to a worksite to conduct an inspection.  Further, the program will discuss how to contest the issuance of a citation and handle the ensuing litigation. This program will also discuss recent workplace safety & health developments. 

This program will benefit all attorneys who have clients with a US workplace, including construction, manufacturing, energy, industrial, retail, medical, and technical establishments.

Learning Objectives: 

1. Review OSHA, and identify the risks associated with  receiving an OSHA citation 

2. Discuss an employer's obligations to contact OSHA, and prepare for being contacted by OSHA 

3. Prepare for an OSHA inspection 

4. Examine what to do if OSHA issues a citation, and prepare for litigation

5. Identify recent workplace safety & health updates
