Overview
This program will discuss practical considerations in forming and/or expanding new businesses in opportunity zones, which will allow exclusion from gross income for equity investors on appreciation in investments in qualified opportunity funds held for at least 10 years. The program will benefit tax attorneys, accountants, and principals, including home offices. There will also be a discussion of potential traps for the unwary, including the use of the working capital safe harbor.
