Litigation Crash Course for Deal Lawyers

This program, taught by Elisa McEnroe and Jose Robles of Morgan Lewis, is designed to help deal lawyers with the basics of litigation. The presenters will discuss two main components: (1) a discussion of key considerations for deal lawyers in drafting commercial contracts from a litigator's perspective to assist with litigation avoidance and positioning; and (2) an overview of the litigation lifecycle to help put issues that may arise into perspective. 

Learning Objectives:

1. Identify key areas for deal lawyers to focus in order to avoid/mitigate litigation risk
2. Discuss experiences and concerns coming out of drafting issues from a commercial litigator's perspective
3. Highlight considerations from the litigation lifecycle as a reminder and to provide context
