Overview
Despite the end of the COVID-19 outbreak Period in 2023, the number of Long Covid cases continues to climb along with the number of individuals afflicted with it who have become permanently disabled and unable to continue working. This course will explore what Long Covid is, the specific challenges presented in medically documenting a Long Covid disability case in both an ERISA and non-ERISA context, and how the Courts across the United States have responded to these disability cases.
