This program, presented by George Gray, attorney and author of the book Estate Planning and Administration: A Simple Guide for New Yorkers, is designed as a foundation for new attorneys or as a refresher for seasoned attorneys.  Mr. Gray provides a brief overview of the practical aspects of Wills and Trusts in New York by examining what an attorney should ask to gather information needed to prepare a Will including the statutory ABC’s of Wills and the appointment of Fiduciaries.  

 

In the realm of Trusts, Mr. Gray discusses the legal requirements to create a trust and the purposes for which they can be used. Specifically, Mr.Gray focuses on Living Trusts and the use of irrevocable trusts for asset protection and medicaid planning.
