Overview

Creating an appropriate privacy policy is not simple.  This program designed to equip practitioners to draft, update, and evaluate effective privacy policies.  We will explore the reasons for creating a customized privacy policy and the steps and information necessary to do so.  Attendees will learn how to identify applicable legal and regulatory obligations, including overviews of both US and international privacy laws.  Providers will also learn how to assess internal practices and the importance of aligning those practices with external statements. We will also explore strategies for tailoring policies to evolving business models and jurisdictional requirements.

By the end of the course, participants will be able to guide clients or internal stakeholders through the creation of a privacy policy that is accurate, compliant, accessible, and adaptable in a dynamic privacy landscape.
