Overview

Pharmaceutical patent litigation often becomes a "battle of the experts."  Presenting the best case for your client includes finding an expert with the right technical expertise, analytical skills, and courtroom demeanor. This program will address working with experts from the initial stages of selecting an expert, through developing the expert's opinions, finalizing expert reports, and preparing for trial, as well as potential pitfalls along the way.

The presentation will begin with considerations for initial expert interviews.  The discussion will continue with best practices for collaborating with experts as they form their opinions and ethical aspects of influencing an expert's opinion. The program will address strategies for preparing expert reports and getting experts ready to testify at deposition and at trial.  This program will benefit intermediate litigators who are often tasked with finding the perfect expert and handle day-to-day communications with the expert throughout the case.
