Course Description

Have you ever really thought about what goes into a DUI/DWI case? Probably not. But Robert Reiff, the author of Drunk Driving and Related Vehicular Offenses and Florida DUI Practice Guide has spent almost 40 years thinking about DUI cases - the law, the science, and the defense of such offenses. In this unique and interesting program, he will teach attorneys how to interpret DUI/DWI laws, analyze forensic evidence to identify flaws and weaknesses and expose the myths of a DUI/DWI case in court.

Robert “Bobby” Reiff is the author of “FLORIDA DUI LAW” which is a part of the LexisNexis Practice Guide series and the previously published “DRUNK DRIVING AND RELATED VEHICULAR OFFENSES” (5th Edition), which was also published by the LEXIS Law Publishing Company. He is also a contributing author for “DEFENDING DUI VEHICULAR HOMICIDE CASES”, 2012 Ed. (published by the West Law Publishing Company, a subsidiary of Thomson, Reuters); “DUI AND OTHER TRAFFIC OFFENSES IN FLORIDA” (published by the Florida Bar); and “DRUNK DRIVING DEFENSE: AN EXPERT'S APPROACH” (published by the Professional Education Group, Inc.). He is also on the editorial board of the DWI LAW & SCIENCE JOURNAL. Bobby is a frequent lecturer and author on topics involving the defense of alcohol-related offenses. 

Named DUI Defense Attorney of the Year 2019 in Florida by Lux Life Magazine – Business Legal Elite, Bobby was also the only DUI defense lawyer named a “Top Lawyer in South Florida” in that category in the 2019 South Florida Legal Guide and he was the only DUI/DWI lawyer named by “Best Lawyers in Florida”® for 2019, 2018, and 2016. Bobby has been a FLORIDA BAR BOARD CERTIFIED CRIMINAL TRIAL ATTORNEY since 1990 and he has offices located in Miami [2333 Brickell Avenue, Miami, Florida 33126] and in Fort Lauderdale [214 S.E. 13th Street, Fort Lauderdale, Florida 33316]. In his spare time, Bobby is an avid competitive ice hockey player.
