Lawyers operate in an environment that is distinguishable from most other professional practice areas. In this course, Mr. Lennon discusses the interaction of various laws, regulations, and cases which govern the professional conduct of lawyers. He will review recent scandals and specific cases that have tested ethical boundaries in the legal profession. As a licensed attorney and accountant, this course will also touch upon ethical issues that are unique to tax practitioners. This is particularly important because all attorneys, regardless of the practice area, are likely to encounter clients with tax issues at some point in their careers. This course will benefit lawyers in every industry.
This course originally appeared as a part of our February 2020 Bridge the Gap Event.

Peter Lennon was excellent. It is hard to make ethics CLE enjoyable but that course definitely was.
Best speaker I have listened to in three years. Excellent presentation.
Most interesting one I've participated in so far.
Very engaging speaker! It was especially useful when he brought in how egregious violations of laws unrelated to one’s legal practice could wind up ending a lawyer’s career if the lawyer is convicted and, thus, likely disbarred.
Well presented. Good speaker. Interesting examples.
