Overview
This program will take a holistic approach to law firm risk management through the use of conflict of interest waivers. Jeffrey Cunningham, MGC Law, will explore the inherent risks, the applicable ABA Model Rules of Professional Conduct, and specific legal malpractice considerations. Viewers will consider four distinct types of waivers (informed consent, advanced waivers, joint representation, and ethical screens) and the underlying elements of any waiver.
Jeffrey Cunningham's simple law firm risk management approach will be illustrated in the context of a real-world scenario. Three easy tools will be provided that can be deployed to make your practice safer and less stressful.
