This program provides attorneys with a foundational understanding of the key legal agreements and concepts involved in developing low-income community solar projects. Topics covered include Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) agreements; Group Net Metering agreements; Requests for Proposals (RFPs); state renewable energy grants; federal tax credits; renewable energy certificates (RECs); and solar zoning laws. Attorneys will gain insight into structuring projects, navigating regulatory considerations, and advising clients on financing strategies.
