Overview
Electronic information in various forms is now a common feature in the investigation and prosecution of criminal activity. The search for and use of that information presents a number of issues under the Fourth, Fifth, and Sixth Amendments as well as, among other things, discovery and admissibility. This course, presented by Ron Hedges, Principal of Ronald J. Hedges LLC, and Judge Sohail Mohammed, will examine the applicability of these amendments as well as other topics related to criminal matters, as well as the applicability of State equivalents.

Analyze the applicability of the Fourth Amendment to electronic information sought or secured by law enforcement
Recognize the applicability of the Fifth Amendment privilege against self-incrimination to electronic information sought or secured by law enforcement
Break down the Sixth Amendment Right of Confrontation when electronic information is offered into evidence
