Overview
An examination and analysis of the duties owed to opposing parties and their counsel as well as an explanation of the adversarial legal system and guidelines and best practices for litigation and depositions as well tips for developing emotional intelligence as an aspect of a lawyer's competency. The course will identify specific examples from the Mississippi Rules of Professional Conduct and ABA Model Rules of Professional Conduct with which lawyers should be especially familiar related to the duties owed to opposing parties and their counsel and elaborate on how those rules apply to lawyers even if they are not practicing in Mississippi.
