Purchasing a business is unlike most anything else a person buys in life. Items such as houses, cars, groceries, even cable or satellite TV, have elements with which most all people are familiar. Businesses are different because there is much that goes on invisibly and unperceivably to a potential buyer. As such, the buyer must perform due diligence in order to make sure he or she is getting what is represented.
In this course, Dr. Bart A. Basi covers the basics of acquiring a business. He discusses the importance of due diligence and all the categories that must be examined. This includes legal analysis, financial analysis, and operational analysis.
