Developments in Derivatives Law

Alice Yurke, a Partner at Dentons, will provide an introduction to derivatives and the background of derivatives law in the US, beginning with the Dodd-Frank financial reforms, before highlighting the adoption of rules and regulations by the applicable regulators. The presentation will cover intermediaries, trading organizations, reporting, recordkeeping, business conduct requirements, clearing, and margining, among other relevant topics.

Because this program is starting with a background and moving on to more advanced topics, this course is appropriate for attorneys who are otherwise unfamiliar with derivatives, as well as finance attorneys with some knowledge of the area.
