Overview
A physician may be a fact witness when a case involves a person whom the physician has treated. The physician may be asked to testify as to the fact of the patient's injury, the treatment rendered, the cost of the treatment, and the current condition of the patient. While most people are familiar with the role of an Expert Witness as part of the litigation team, the term Fact Witness may not be as familiar. There is a difference between the two roles. In this program, Mila Carlson, Ph.D., MSHSA, RN, CNLCP®, CMSP-F Nurse Consultant, and Nurse Life Care Planner at Mila Carlson & Associates, P.C., will explain the difference and assist the litigation team in determining whether a Fact Witness is beneficial to the case.
