This course, offered by Edward Clinton, Jr., an experienced legal malpractice attorney who has handled family law malpractice cases, is designed for family law practitioners and general practice attorneys interested in family law. The course will highlight common mistakes that practitioners make in family law cases that can lead to legal malpractice claims and provide strategies for preventing those errors. The course will also discuss related ethics issues that can lead to litigation against family law attorneys.

This program will be taught from the perspective of an Illinois attorney and will refer to Illinois rules, but these concepts can apply widely beyond Illinois.
