Overview
This program provides an overview of regulatory due diligence in the acquisition of aviation companies, including both certificated entities (e.g., air carriers, repair stations, training centers, manufacturers) and non-certificated entities (e.g., fixed base operators, aircraft management companies).
Attendees will learn how to identify the certificates and permits a target company holds-or should hold-and evaluate compliance with applicable FAA and DOT requirements. The course also explores key considerations for acquiring entities, such as citizenship requirements and the transferability of authorizations. Additional topics include broader regulatory concerns that may affect operations, such as airport use and aeronautical obligations.
Learning Objectives:
Identify the type of certificate and/or permit an aviation company holds
Explore particular requirements related to holding the particular certificate and/or permit from the perspective of due diligence
