Overview
This program will share a diverse collection of mental health advocates' and lawyers' thoughts about a better future for the legal profession. Mental health and wellness presentations often focus on the poor state of mental health and well-being in the legal industry, addressing the "business case" for well-being, or on different types of organizational practices or individual techniques. This presentation takes a different tack. Daring to dream about a better future for the profession, articulating it in concrete terms, and examining its many facets, are essential steps toward manifesting that future.
The central takeaway from this program is a tapestry of "what 'winning' looks like" for mental health and well-being in the law. It is hopeful, exciting, multi-faceted, and (with a lot of hard work!) achievable.
This program will benefit lawyers, staff, and mental health and well-being advocates in the legal industry in providing a vision of what "winning" looks like in the mental health and well-being space in the legal industry.
