LIHTCs, HAPs, PBVs, QAPs, RSL, HPD, HDC... oh my! Affordable housing deals, particularly in New York, are complex transactions and can appear to be an "alphabet soup" to those outside the field. Financing the preservation or new construction of affordable housing typically involves multiple governmental agencies and private participants, as well as layers of debt, equity, and rental assistance subsidy. This program will provide an introduction to the key components of affordable housing financing in New York.
