Matan Shmuel


Matan Shmuel is an associate in the Tax, Compensation and Employee Benefits group of Saul Ewing Arnstein & Lehr LLP. Matan represents businesses and individuals in all aspects of federal, state, and local tax planning and controversy matters. Matan regularly advises clients on choice of entity, structuring and restructuring, and tax aspects of mergers and acquisitions. Matan has represented clients before the IRS, the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau, as well as state and local Departments of Revenue and administrative appeals boards. Matan also advises charities and not-for-profit organizations on tax and governance matters.

Matan is a member of the American and Philadelphia Bar Associations. Matan earned his J.D. at Rutgers School of Law—Camden, and his L.L.M. at Georgetown University Law Center. Matan also holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Rutgers Business School.
