Gregory D. Hanscom


Greg Hanscom is an associate in the Philadelphia office with a practice devoted to representing employers in a wide array of litigation and non-litigation matters. Greg’s litigation practice focuses, in part, on discrimination claims brought under various federal, state and local statutes including Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA), the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Pennsylvania Human Relations Act, the New Jersey Law Against Discrimination, and the Philadelphia Fair Practices Ordinance.

Greg regularly appears in both federal and state courts and before various administrative agencies including the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and the Pennsylvania Human Relations Commission.

Greg also represents employers in class action wage and hour disputes, as well as claims brought by individual plaintiffs. Through this practice, Greg has developed an in-depth knowledge of statutes touching upon wage and hour issues including the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and the Pennsylvania Wage Payment and Collection Law.

In addition to his litigation practice, Greg, as a member of the firm’s Government Solutions Practice Group. He advises and counsels employers on legislative and regulatory trends at all levels of government. Utilizing the real world experience he gained working on Capitol Hill, Greg assists employers with understanding and untangling the complicated and ever-changing web of federal, state and local labor and employment laws. Greg is also a regular contributor to the firm’sGovernment Solutions Blog.

Greg’s non-litigation practice also requires him to regularly advise employers on drafting and implementing complex and legally compliant workplace policies and procedures.

Greg has been selected for inclusion in Pennsylvania Super Lawyers – Rising Stars since 2013.
