Mr. Henson was born in Los Angeles and grew up in Rochester, New York. After graduating from Washington and Lee University School of Law, he served as a Judicial Law Clerk for the Honorable Michael P. McWeeny and the Honorable Lorraine Nordlund of the Fairfax County Circuit Court. After clerking, Mr. Henson was a trial attorney with the Office of the Public Defender for Fairfax County. In that role he represented clients charged with crimes ranging from reckless driving to burglary. Mr. Henson has represented clients before the Virginia Court of Appeals and the Virginia Supreme Court.
Mr. Henson left the Public Defender’s Officer to become a founding partner in the firm of Henson Pachuta & Kammerman, PLLC, located in Fairfax, Virginia. In addition to criminal defense, he now also focuses his attention on immigration law. He represents clients in removal defense, family immigration petitions, asylum, and special immigrant juvenile status petitions. He is knowledgeable about the immigration consequences of criminal convictions and assists criminal defense attorneys whose clients have concerns about the effect their case will have on their immigration status.
