Ann Kayman


Ann Kayman is the owner and CEO of the New York Grant Company. Established in 2002, Ann’s team works to obtain economic grants and incentives for hundreds of private clients in the New York Metro area and now nationally. 

Prior to founding the company, Ann served for four years (1998-2002) in the Giuliani and Bloomberg Administrations as head of Business Development and Senior Vice President of the New York City Economic Development Corporation (EDC). She is also a lawyer with over 27 years’ of experience. 

While at EDC, Ann led a team responsible for attracting record numbers of new businesses to the City from around the world. Ann won international awards for the City including: Global Innovator’s Award (2000), Most Wired Central Business District Award (2000) and Intelligent Cities Award (2001).

After 9/11, Ann was appointed to direct the City’s efforts to help with the recovery of 20,000 lower Manhattan businesses. Working extensively with federal, state and local agencies, non-profits, and business groups, Ann led a team of 500+ City workers and volunteers to deliver financial relief and business counseling.

Ann’s work has been profiled in The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Crain’s New York Business, CBS Radio, Site Selection Magazine, and trade publications. She is a regular speaker at national/regional forums on the subject of economic incentives, economic development, and green finance. Ann serves on the Speakers’ Bureau of the Urban Green Council authorized by the Mayor’s Office to deliver educational outreach regarding New York City’s green building laws.
