What Every Attorney Needs to Know About Cybersecurity and Data Privacy: Ethical Issues and Recent Trends

Attorneys face many ethical and compliance issues relating to cybersecurity. Companies of all sizes are often targets of hackers, disgruntled employees and other malicious actors.

This program will examine attorneys' ethical obligations to understand and address cybersecurity risks to protect client confidentiality. In addition, this program will provide practical advice for addressing issues that arise under U.S. privacy laws, as well as the European Union's new Global Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) that applies to all companies (wherever located) that target customers or clients who are EU residents and obtain personal data of EU residents.
