Course Description

With the addition of inter partes review to the alternatives available to defendants in patent cases, practitioners have flocked to the Patent Office seeking fast and relatively inexpensive resolutions. Although many defendants have found success before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board, significant and sometimes dispositive pitfalls can defeat a potentially meritorious Petition.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Introduce the viewer to the conduct of inter partes review
  2. Review some case examples highlighting where petitioners and their submitted petitions have been deemed inadequate by the Board
  3. Grasp best practices of conducting inter partes review
