Trade secrets often represent the heart of a business, and knowing how to protect them is essential for in-house counsel.

This course, presented by Randy M. Friedberg, a partner with White and Williams, LLP, takes a tour through the maze of state trade secret laws, as well as the federal Defend Trade Secrets Act recently enacted in 2016. The lecture will provide an overview of U.S. trade secret law, focusing on requirements for protection, proper and improper means of acquiring trade secrets, and protection of trade secrets.
