During this presentation, real estate attorney Matt Lehrer will discuss how COVID-19 has affected real estate transactions in NY. Specifically, this presentation will cover issues facing parties already in the contract (i.e. delayed board approvals, delayed closings), new negotiation strategies for buyers/seller not yet in the contract (i.e. outside termination dates, funding contingency language, post-closing escrow in lieu of pre-closing walkthrough), and virtual closings (including virtual notarization of documents).

Matthew is licensed to practice law in the New York State and Federal Courts, is a member of the New York State Bar Association, the American Bar Association the New York County Lawyers Association and has been selected as a Super Lawyer for 2013 and 2014.
Matthew received his B.A. from Indiana University, where he studied economics and political science, and his J.D. from St. John’s University School of Law.
