Basic Ethics for Lawyers

This program provides an overview of the basic ethic rules that all lawyers must follow in all areas of the law. It includes an emphasis on how these rules are affected by the general practice of law in today’s internet and social media environment, including a discussion of ethics and electronic devices, cloud computing, and payment of fees by credit card.

Other topics to be covered include duties to clients and former clients, lawyers’ responsibility of non-lawyers, fee arrangements, conflicts of interest, the sale of a legal practice, and more.
