Busy Lawyers May Now Take CLE Courses Online at Select Gyms
NYC -- New York State lawyers must now take up to 32 hours of Continuing Legal Education (CLE) courses*. For attorneys who have not complied and want to multi-task the courses, enter LAWLINE.COM, where lawyers can listen to and watch courses online in gyms with Internet access.
Following is a handy list of health clubs with audio/visual Internet access on equipment, such as stair-steppers, treadmills and stationary bicycles:
- Crunch Fitness (6 locations)
- Manhattan Plaza Health Club
- The Sports Club LA
The following facilities will have audio and visual Internet access in a few months (some have visual but not yet audio):
- Athletic and Swim Club at Equitable Center
- The Fitness Company at the World Trade Center
- New York Sports Club, 151 E. 86th St.
- New York Health and Racquet Club, 24 E. 13th St.
- David Barton Gym (both locations)
LAWLINE.COM is a leading online broadcaster of law-related media programming with over 420 law-related programs. *The CLE requirement was instituted in New York State in January of 1999 and lawyers have two years in which to comply.
