Bio:

Robert F. Zaniel, an attorney in Fairfax, Virginia who has specialized in divorce and family law for over twenty-five years, founded Divorce Resource in 1997. He believed that the traditional means of providing services to individuals going through divorce and separation far too often resulted in highly contentious litigation resulting in long term emotional stress and substantial financial loss.  He believes that the focus should be on resolving the divorce and family conflict sensibly and efficiently minimizing stress and financial burden for the parties.  Mr. Zaniel has extensive trial experience, having participated in more than eight hundred hearings involving family law matters.  Most importantly, Mr. Zaniel has negotiated favorable settlements in thousands of cases over the past thirty years, sparing his clients the considerable expense and uncertainty of trial.  Over his 30 years of family law practice, Mr. Zaniel been an active member of the Fairfax County Bar Association having chaired the Fairfax County Bar's Juvenile & Domestic Relations District Court Committee and receiving the President's award for his work as editor of the Fairfax County Circuit Court Manual.
