Bio:

Alan Schnurman has been a prominent investor in East End property since 1986, and is the leading developer of land in Bridgehampton and Sagaponack. Alan's past projects include the development of a 26-acre parcel on Ocean Road and a 42-acre farm on Hedges Lane. Among the places he has lectured on real estate investments are New York University, New York Law School and Green Pearle's Distressed Real Estate Summit just to name a few.

Alan co-founded the law firm of Zalman Schnurman & Miner in New York City. After four decades as a trial attorney, he retired last year. He has received numerous professional honors, including the "Lifetime Achievement Award" presented by the Hon. Jonathan Lippman, Chief Judge of the State of New York on behalf of the NYC Trial Lawyers Association. Alan was also the host of "Lawline," a PBS legal talk show he started in 1983 which still airs in the greater NY metro area and the East End. In 1999, he started Lawline.com, one of the first websites devoted to Continuing Legal Education. It remains the market leader.

A native of Brooklyn, Alan graduated from New York Law School, where he currently sits on the Board of Trustees and has endowed a scholarship for single mothers in memory of his own mother Ruth.
